This is a big deal!!

3 weeks ago if you were to ask Austin to get into Grammy's pool his response would have been, "No I'm fine on the stairs and I think I will just sit here". I mean we tried everything to get this kid in the pool because we knew he would be able to stand in the shallow this year, but no he refused. We tried to bribe him with many many things if he would just try and walk in the shallow end. After days of constant refusal, one day he just decided it was time to get in the water and he has taken off. I started working with him on his swimming lessons and on the first day he screamed and screamed at me to take him back to the steps. Well this is where we are this weekend!! I am so proud of him and he is having so much fun swimming and now our new battle is to get him out of the pool!!

The Goats at Grants Farm

Yesterday we spent the morning at Grant's Farm and the kids had a blast. There favorite thing was feeding the goats.

The Big Camp Out!

So we are having such wonderful (not typical St.Louis July hotness!!!) weather this weekend that the big boys (Jason and Chuck) thought that it would be a great night to take the little guys (Trip, Austin and Quinn) for a camp out. Since there would be a 5,4,and 3 year old we thought it best to do the first camp out in our backyard since one of them might not make it and then our house would be close, but no need for that because they all did great and slept really well.

We started by cooking out and had smores and then the campout! Here are some pictures!

Tonight we went and bought some fireworks under a tent, which was Campbell highlight of the night!! We came home and the kids played outside and inevitably Campbell needed to get naked! If Austin has his shirt off so must she!! We set off a few daytime fireworks, mainly smoke bombs and then Campbell went off to bed and the rest of us waited until night and we did the rest! Austin is really into the fireworks this year so he had fun.
