More for Granddad and Grandma

Yes for everyone else this is only Campbell eating, but for far away Grandparents this is pretty big stuff!!! Campbell is figuring out the whole eating thing and now at least a majority of it stays in her mouth. Austin still thinks it is hilarious whenever she tries to eat, he is always my little helper at feeding time! Enjoy!

Yea!!! Campbell!!

So it only took Campbell 40 minutes of on and off crying to figure out how to go to sleep with her arms and legs free!! She has her brother beat by 4 hrs and 20 minutes!! It was a rough with Austin!! Now Jason and I are addicted to the baby video monitor, apparently Campbell finds it comfortable to sleep with her legs in the air??? Well now I'm off to do the laundry!!

Campbell's first P.J.'s!!!!

Okay so Campbell is 5 months old and tonight is the first night that she has had a real pair of pajama's on!! For the first 5 months of her life she liked to be swaddled to sleep, but those days need to come to an end! So tonight while most everyone else is watching tv or eventually probably sleeping, Jason and I are trying to get Campbell to sleep unswaddled!! I know there are many of you who feel my pain and I know this will eventually be over!! I'm hoping for a quick learner!! I'll fill you in on our progress later. I'm going up to see if she is still screaming from the sound of Jason's TV blaring upstairs she probably still is!!!

Play date at BabyMoon!

I took Austin to this great store/enrichment center today. It is called BabyMoon and it is this great store but they also have classes for babies and toddlers. On Fridays they have this drop in play date and you can go whenever you want and they do all sorts of fun things. Today they played instruments and sang songs, they colored and had story time. Austin was a bit shy in the beginning and would not leave my lap, but after a while he joined in and by the end he gave Ms. Laurie a big hug and said thank you! I also signed him up for another music class so we will see how that goes, but I think he will have a blast!!

The kids and I spent yesterday with my mom doing the things we usually do, shopping and taking pictures!! Last night was also bath night and there are a few pictures of that! The kids are doing great!

It's a Girl!!!

NO No!! This is not a Shaw baby, it's a Hoffman baby! My brother and his wife Doty are having a little girl!! Campbell is so excited to have little girl cousin to play with!! Her name is Lydia Meese Hoffman and we are so excited for Jon and Doty. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Welcome Baby Luke!

My good friend from high school, Jake and his wife Paige welcomed their 2nd baby on Friday and we went to visit them today! His name is Luke and he looks just like his daddy! This might also be Campbell's future husband!!!

Grandma's 89th Birthday

This is a little out of order, but oh well! Last weekend the kids and I went to Kansas for my grandma's 89th birthday party. We had 5 out of her 7 (soon to be 9) great grandchildren there and we had a great time. Campbell also had some firsts while we were there! She discovered her toes and now likes to play with those and she also rolled from her stomach over to her back for the first time!! Here are some pics!

We tried again today to give campbell some rice cereal and she is almost getting it. Instead of just staring at the spoon this time she actually wanted to put it in her mouth, although I think the food was just getting in the way of her eating the actual spoon!! We will try again later!!

Marriage Retreat House With Kids???

We went to the Lake of the Ozarks this weekend with the Scoggins and Andersons where we had 5 kids under the age 4!!! Our Church has purchased a lake house to be used as a Marriage retreat house and Chuck asked us to go along so he could take some video of the house "being used". The idea sounded great and we had a great time, but with 5 kids in a house not child proofed we had our hands full. Somehow the shower seemed like the happenen place to be!!

We spent Friday night at a resturant called Risky's and the name completely suited it because we were there way way to long and I thought Amy was going to throw down with the manager!! after we were there an 1 1/2 before getting our food and with 4 kids that can get a little scary! Quinn had to resort to eating crumbs off the table!!

After dinner on Friday and finally getting back to the house we had a great time! Austin and Tripp got to go down to the dock and watch for boats and Trip even offered to buy Austin and boat and drive him around!! Austin and Tripp getting ready to go to the dock!
All in all it was a great weekend and next time we will leave the kids at home and we will be able to leave all the furniture and accessories in their appropriate place!

Okay so I am going to try and post a picture. I have to see what pictures we have on our computer, so it might be a random picture seeing as my mom takes all the pictures and they are on her computer! My pictures never make it past the camera!! Here we go!

This is so exciting! I can't believe it was so easy to start a blog! The Lewis family inspired me to do this so here it is! The Shaw Family blog. Hopefully I will be a good little blogger and update often! I am just going to tackle writing for now and next time I am going to try and add a picture!!!
