Christmas Eve!

We had a wonderful Christmas eve and I thought now that all the presents are wrapped I would get a jump start on blogging. We went to church at 3 and then had a most wonderful dinner out with my parents. We came home and made cookies for Santa and then the kids went off to bed, Austin very excited and Campbell without a clue as to what is going on!! Here are some pictures from the day!
Getting ready to go to church!
Making cookies for Santa! We made some great monster cookies!
While the cookies were baking we read the Story of the first Christmas. Austin was very interested in baby Jesus and Campbell really just wanted to sit in her box.
Literally not more than 2 seconds after I set down the santa cookies this little cookie monster was eating them, She was looking to see if any one saw her. Austin said "Silly Campbell those are for Santa"
This was his I'm so excited for presents look!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

Camel Riding!!!

On Thursday night we went to Our Lady of Snow's holiday lights show and they also had this little petting zoo. As soon as I saw the camel rides I wanted to do it and I knew that Campbell would go with me. We asked Austin but he said no! So here are some pictures of Campbell and I riding our camel. She loved every minute of it and was laughing the whole time! The ride was not comfortable and I can not imagine how people ride them for a long time. You would need a whole lot of padding!!
Kylee this is for you!! Campbell riding a camel!

Breakfast with Santa!!

Today Jason and I and my parents took the kids to Shaw's Garden for breakfast with Santa. It started out a little rough because Austin was mad at me for making him wear a shirt with buttons ( Goodness!!) and I thought he might flip out when he got up to see Santa, but instead it was like he was greeting a long lost friend. He full out sprinted and jumped in his lap. Campbell was alos a huge fan of Santa! She also loved the reindeer and snowman that were walking around. I think she would have gone home with the snowman if we would have given her to him! So after the kids talked to Santa we had a great breakfast and then went to look at the train display. It was huge and very cool and both the kids loved watching the trains. The highlight of the morning although was watching Campbell stand on this curb kind of thing and then proceed to fall into the flower display. Being the loving mother that I am I took the opportunity to take the picture and let grammy pull her out of the flowers! Here are some pictures from our adventure!!

She was doing great standing up on this little curb, but not for long!!
Can you see her! Shes in there!!

Thanksgiving

Well we survived our 2 - 10 hour car trips and we had a wonderful time in Atlanta for Thanksgiving. Austin and Campbell got to play with their cousins and we got to spend time with David and Kristen which was wonderful. I'm sure Jason's parents felt like a whirlwind came sweeping through their house, but somehow I think that they did not mind it much!!! Thanksgiving or any time is always so wonderful and cozy at their house. There is never a lack of yummy (dangerous) food to be had and the kids have so much fun playing all sorts of things with grandma and granddad. Austin told me today that he loves going to grandma and granddad's house, but the car ride sure is long!! Here are some pictures from the weekend!

This weekend!

I just wanted to put a few pictures up from this weekend. Jason and I spent the weekend at the Family Life marriage conference this weekend and it was wonderful, highly recommend it for everyone! So the kids spent the weekend with grammy and pawpaw! Austin had his first basketball practice and he is very proud of his orange jersey, although he says it looks like a dress! Then they spent the afternoon at the Magic house!

Austin cracks me up!

I was just finishing the last blog and I was checking some emails and Austin had been drawing in the other room with a highlighter that he found in Jason's office. He came walking in the computer room and he had blue highlighter all over his face and I asked him why the marker was all over his face and this was his reply, " I was just pretending that God had made me with freckels all over my face, I just wanted to see what it was like." Then he just walked out of the office like it was the most reasonable answer and how could I have not known that! Anyway just made me laugh!

Crazy Weekend!

We had a great and packed full Halloween weekend! It all started Thursday night at Austin's Shcool Fall Festival. We played lots of games, but mainly hung out at the cupcake walk!(it takes lots of time to win a cupcake and Austin was not leaving until he did!!) ON Friday we hit the Veggie tales concert in the afternoon and then headed home for some trick or treating! Austin was a fireman again and Campbell was a lion. We took austin out with his buddy next door and they loved every minute of it. Campbell was a bit crabby due to a cold so my parents took her to a couple of houses and then it was off to bed for her. I am still loving these ages because they have all but forgotten the huge amount of candy that is sitting in the pantry!! We kept going on Saturday, We went to A Day Out With Thomas! it was really fun we got to ride a real train and do all sorts of Thomas Activities. Then Saturday night we had our annual hayride and cookout with my dad's side of the Family! So Needless to say on sunday we rested!!!

Austin's first fieldtrip!

Well Austin got to go on his first official school frieldtrip on Tuesday. We went to the pumpkin patch. It was kind of a chill, damp day but the kids had a really fun time. They got to play in corn, feed the animals, have lunch and pick out a pumpkin. Austin's highlight although was getting to ride the school bus!! And who do you think he sat with on his first bus ride? His sweet mother? NO, Vivianna! The cutest little girl! They had so much fun and it was so much fun watching them get so excited!!

Austin also loves school so much that when we got back to school he was VERY sad that he did not get to do his normal Tuesday day at school!! Here are some pictures!

Just like Austin!

So recently Campbell has become a little copycat of Austin. Everything he does she has to have or try herself. The other day I saw him jump off one of our chairs in the family room and the next thing I saw was Campbell standing on the same chair jumping off just like Austin! Sunday morning the kids were in the family room playing and I had some of Austins laundry in there so Campbell decided she need to wear underwear just like he had on. So these are a few pictures of her trying to put them on herself!!

Apple picking!!

On Saturday we went apple picking with our care group from church. The kids had a great time picking apples and picking out their pumpkins! I don't have a picture of it but Amy Scoggins just about mastered the technique of feeding apples to massive cows! Don't really know if cows are suppose to eat whole apples, but they did and looked pretty excited about it! Here are some pictures!

A fine Sunday!

So we woke up this morning and this is what we saw out our back door! I guess they were having some issues because they finally after a few attempts to take off again packed up the balloon and left. Austin thought it was very cool. Last weekend we went and saw the balloon race in forest park so this morning he was sure that this was one of the balloons from the race! We tried to tell him probably not, but he firmly insisted it was!

After church and naps we went to the park down the street for a little play time before dinner! Campbell loves to follow Austin around and do everything he does! She is definitly our little dare devil! Although I think Jason looks the most frightened in this picture!!

Something about me!

Well I have thought about it for a long time and I finally decided to go ahead and give it a try. I have recently started a cookie business! I have been decorating sugar cookies for a while and I really enjoy doing it and I think it will be a great business to have and also allow me to still be at home with the kids! Our wonderful friend Chuck Scoggins designed me a wonderful website so now I am officially in the cookie business. The website is masonhillcookies.com, Mason Hill is our new address so I thought it was only fitting since I bake them here it should also be the name! Any way go have a look!

More about the kids!

Things have been going really well lately. Austin is loving school and is very excited for Tuesdays and Thursdays! We just had a wonderful weekend. We all went Friday night to my cousin's sons soccer game and Austin thought that was really cool! On saturday we went to the balloon race down in Forest park. Both Austin and Campbell got a huge kick out of seeing all the balloons take off! Today I used craigslist for the first time and bought some outside toys for the kids. It is so nice to have grass out back now for the kids to run around in! Here are a few pictures from this afternoon

First Day of School!

Austin had his first day of school today and he loved it! We had lunch with daddy and then we took him to his room. There was one moment that he looked at me like, are you really leaving? So I just left hoping he would be okay! He came out when I picked him up with a huge smile on his face and looking exhausted!
